K&B Builders is a residential building and remodeling company owned and operated by Brian Papp Sr. who has thirty years construction experience. Brian began his career as a laborer for his grandfather who was a brick, block, and stonemason. After graduating high school, Papp went to work for a framing carpenter and within a few years he was the lead carpenter on one of his crews. After five years of framing he went to work for a custom homebuilder who subbed out very little work. Papp and the builder were building custom stick built homes from the ground up doing everything from the footer to the ridge cap. Papp enjoyed working for this builder and he learned a lot from him.
After about seven years new home construction slowed down, the builder decided to retire, and Brian went to work for a kitchen and bathroom remodeling company in Philadelphia, PA. Three years in Philadelphia was enough for Papp and in 1993 he decided to move his family to Seaford, Delaware where he started up BK Home Improvements. Work was hard to find in Western Sussex County, however new home construction was picking up in Eastern Sussex along the coast. Brian decided to change his business name to K&B Builders and started subbing work from some of the larger builders at the beach. The business is named after his two children Kathryn and Brian Jr. Papp knew work would eventually pick up in Western Sussex County so he purchased some land and in 1999 he built his first spec house in Seaford, Delaware. Brian gave up building for other builders because his houses were selling faster than he could build them. On November 12, 2002 K&B Builders became a corporation.

We built many homes in Sussex County and have many satisfied customers. The majority of homes we have built are in the 1500 to 2000 Sq. Ft. range. We have built some homes as small as 1000 sq. ft. and as large as 4000 sq. ft. We are confident that we can build any size or style house in a timely and professional manner at a fair price. We can build on your lot or we can build your new home on one of ours.
Our goal is to have 100% of our sales in new home construction, however we are willing to perform smaller jobs such as additions, pole barns, decks, roofing and siding, window and door replacements, kitchen and bathroom remodeling, and hardwood and tile floor installations.
